This page provides information
and images of the various flags flown in the Lendosan Confederation. It
is divided into nine sections - national flags (those of the Confederation
and its member states), regional flags (six sections for the internal regions
of the six member states), other subnational flags, and historical flags.
Uniforms are used in considerably
more circumstances in Lendosa than they are in many other nations, both
in government and in the private sector. This is largely because the modern
business suit, as such, simply did not gain much of a following in Lendosa,
leaving a gap which needed to be filled. Many organizations make use of
uniforms. Most major corporations have a uniform as their official dress
code rather than a suit, although in modern times, the "uniform" is often
modeled on the business suits of other countries. Uniforms are also more
common at educational institutions than they are in some countries - almost
all Lendosan schools and universities have uniforms.
The uniforms worn by officials
of various government instititions are shown below. Usually, men and women
will wear the same basic uniform, although sometimes there are variations
in ceremonial versions.

The uniform worn by members
of the Lendosan Senate is white, with coloured markings which are variable
depending on the political party of the senator. The image shown here uses
blue, indicating that the senator is a member of the Reform Party. If the
blue were replaced by red, it would indicate a Communist Party senator,
and if it were replaced by orange, it would represent an Imperial Party
senator. The official colours of each party can be seen on this
page. The basic pattern is merely traditional gentleman's clothing
from the Azulian culture, regarded as the "basic" Lendian cultural group.
See the Cultures page for more information.
The uniform worn by members
of the Andrade, Lendosa's civil service,
is a dark reddish-brown. In contrast to the uniform worn by Senators, it
is based on the Alvaronian style, dominant in the government of Piolsa.
It is not entirely clear why this style was chosen for the Andrade, but
it has become entrenched enough that an attempt to change it in 278 was
strongly resisted.

The three branches of the
Lendosan military, the Army,
Navy, and Airforce,
are identical except for their colour, with the army using green, the navy
using blue, and the airforce using teal. The design was first introduced
for the Army of the Republic, the revolutionary army which overthrew the
various petty monarchies of post-Plague Lendia. When the Republic gave
way to the Empire, the style was retained. After the Empire's fall, an
attempt was made to introduce new uniforms, but this proved unpopular,
and the old uniforms have now been reinstated. Rank insignia will obviously
vary.

The Panopticate,
Lendosa's intelligence agency, has always used a black uniform, although
the style has changed somewhat over the years. Today, the design is not
unlike that of the military, although it is not identical.
The two law
enforcement agencies, the Police and the Guard, wear quite different
uniforms from each other. The police uniform is based on traditional Azulian
clothing, like the Senator's uniform. It is a greyish blue. The Guard,
on the other hand, uses a grey uniform, largely dissimilar to other official
uniforms. It was originally
