The Lendosan Confederation
is not currently engaged in any military conflicts or wars. The most recent
such action took place against the guerilla forces of Estevo Bonoduro,
who attempted to seize control of Lendia by means of a military coup d'état.
His attempt failed, but Bonoduro escaped with some forces loyal to him
and overran the Melga Islands, establishing an apartheid government there.
This situation lasted until the 16th of January 301, when allied forces
from the Lendosan Confederation and the United Kingdom of Caboteniasa launched
an invasion of the islands and re-established democratic rule in the Republic
of Melga.
The most major non-military
disagreement that the Lendosan Confederation has a part in would most likely
be the ownership of Glaciaria, Vexillium's southernmost (and mostly frozen)
continent. It is the position of many of Vexillium's nations that Glaciaria
may be owned by other states, while Lendosa contests that it may not. The
Lendosan government does not recognise the legitimacy of any claims, and
has moved frequently to have Glaciaria made a UNV-controlled preservation.
A motion was made in the UNV by Lendosa, and was passed by vote of the
membership, but was vetoed. Lendosa will continue to press for an end to
these ridiculous territorial claims and the establishment of real safeguards
for the continent of Glaciaria.
